Health Screening Sprockers

One of the biggest draws to a Sprocker Spaniel is in the getting away from an over inbreeding of Cocker and Springer Spaniels in the UK. This means that the Sprocker will be less prone to their inherited diseases and therefore be a much hardier healthier dog in the long run. But there are never guarantees when it comes to this so it is worthwhile having some basic knowledge of the hereditary diseases that can befall our Springers and Cockers. It is up to the breeders of these lines to make a concerted and conscious effort to avoid this happening, a lot do and a lot don’t.
